General Information

My name is Jakk and my partner, Charley , and I run Poke A Dot Rattery which is located in beautiful Glenside, PA just blocks from Arcadia University. I received my first rat at the age of four and I promptly named the big black hooded male Emily. Eleven years later, in 2005, I started my rattery but I didn't breed my first litter untill 2007. I wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Since then I have learned a lot of valuable lessons and I know that I will continue to learn as I gain more and more experience.

Breeding Goals (Markings and Color)
Breeding focuses on temperament, health, type, color, then markings. We will be working on breeding Russian Blue Agouti and Russian Silver Agouti and hopefully we will be adding Dumbo ears back into our lines.

Selling Guidelines
I will never sell any baby as a feeder rat or to a feeder breeder.

For the health and happiness of all my babies, rats will only be sold in pairs. Rats are social animals and need constant interaction only available from another rat. Single rats can be adopted if the buys provides a photo of themselves, the rat, and some dated item. Same sex pairs if can be adopted if the buyer agrees to pay for the male to be neutered before going home.

 

Also, all my rats are sold under pet only contracts unless you become a approved rattery. To become an approved rattery please email me explaining what rats you have and what rats you are looking for, what you are breeding for, and if you are an active member of a rat and mouse club.
